New Owner of a 2006 LS G35 Coupe Sport

Hi everyone

2 Weeks ago I picked up a 2006 Lakshore Slate G35 with only 53k Miles on it. I love this car. Even though it doesn't have all the features and Gas mileage of my 2006 Acura TSX. It make up for in power, and feel. Here are some pics, and I and going to write a review on this car later.

Using my Android Software experience. I found a solution to my loss of Navigation and Driver information Center. I mounted my tablet using velcro (temporary, but looks clean). I used Torque for my Driver Information Center. It also show my MPGs. Needs more tinkering, but I'm going to get it down soon.

Great choice
No sense getting rid of forged rays for knockoffs like a lot of people do
If you need reference pics I should have some with 20/25 mm h&rs both in my profile and on Instagram under the same name
Makes a world of difference especially with a drop

Good eye Jersey! Great looking car! Those rays do look great. When I had mine, I went with 25mm spacers all around and it looked great. Looks like someone took care of it for you.

Congrats, that is a beautiful OEM G35. I love clean factory cars. A little mod here and there is ok.

I think with a dark tint, it'll look even better. Swap the front corner lights for clear and the front will look even better. The 03-05 spoiler does look better IMO because the 06's are too small. You also have the front lip already so you're all set for looks on this car for the most part.

The tablet looks good and very clever. As long as its removable so that people don't try to steal it. Can you add a Navigation app to it?

@Justice

Thanks. Im using a 32GB Google Nexus 7. I do use a navigation app I switch either between google navigation and Sygic (best navi app i used yet) ill post some pics later. I also just installed the PAC dual aux interface (slight pita to install under the center console BTW) and it was well worth it.

I have 32GB of music and video storage, wifi (from my phone's unlimited hotspot) so I can stream music from Spotify and Movies from XBMC, Netflix, or Showbox. I modified my tablet's sound drivers to make the sound through the headunit more clear and bassy.

Also thanks to Torque and my $20 ODB bluetooth Scanner, I have my Driver Information Center, which tell my my Fuel economy (its about 90% accurate), I can even set it up to show my fuel range. It also show my coolant temp and other things.

IMO this mod was way better than installing a $500 headunit. And the best part about it, its anti-theft

Man thats awesome.

I thought about getting a double din DVD/Nav unit at Bestbuy. The cheapest you can buy is about $300, and labor is $550. Your setup is definitely cheaper, although I wish it was also easier for the typical owner who is not as tech-savvy.

I'll probably eventually save up for the DD unit, but I like the OEM setup for now.

Interested in your review also, and if you have any issues with your car or not.

Bought the G a christmas present!! I ran on a nail causing a flat tire on my G and split the side wall on my Front Pilot Sp2 (had to take them off anyway due to winter). So I bought some 245/35 19 General Gmax AS03 to match my Pirelli Sottozero 255/40 19 in the back. They have 90% tread and got them for $150 (came off a E55 mercedes) I'm going to put them on today. Wish me luck hoping i have no issue getting them installed

Good deal on those tires! You reminded me again why I like CA. No snow tires and no shoveling snow in the mornings.

Nice looking coupe! And welcome to the club! Acura's not as good as a G! I have a sedan 05X. My Audi A6 quattro wasnt as fast as my X. Even after l had a comp tune on the Audi it couldnt compare to the X! I love Audi's awd better than Infinti's. I liked the Audi she is alittle bigger car! Audi's paint is better. I have serengeti sand a rare color. Acura just cant compare to the G. I have alot of acura and Lexus Owners ask about my exhaust system. I have a hybrid Megan OE RS setup it has a nice deeper Sound than Factory.I only spent a total of 350 for the exhaust system.
