found G35 gold

I happened into an '06 G35 coupe with 31,000 miles on it about three weeks ago. I've since made my wife jealous of the car. This is a Revup edition with no modification. I intend to keep it NA but would like to get more power to the wheels by increasing efficiency. I'm a beginner and have started the research process. I haven't come to any decisions yet, and would love suggestions. I'm looking forward to experienced advice.

This forum doesn't play well with mobile devices, so no pictures of the ride until I make it back to a computer.

Best bang for your buck with a Rev-Up for power:

Motordyne MREV2 lower plenum, your butt dyno will smile.

Don't waste your money on headers, air intakes etc. NOT WORTH THE TROUBLE.
Use the money you would have spent on a good tune.

Best bang for the buck in handling:

Hotchkis Sway bars, PERIOD

Good sticky tires then,

Tokiko d-spec shocks

Lowering with springs about 1", then a good alignment.

Sure, you can spend lots of money on coil over kits and camber kits etc. but those three will make it handle pretty darn well.

Thats good info. Hotchkis sway bars will be my next bolt on.l would like to lower my 05X at the most an 1in. Dont want to get to low and need all kinds of add ons to get a good alignment. It is stock ride height now.l want a smooth ride. A osiris tune will be a must have!

Anything more than 1" and you will need camber correction, with a good alignment, you should be able to get them to -1.5 degrees. That's livable. My tires wear a bit on the inside but not more than I can live with.

Did you buy from a dealership or private sale? You can get awarranty from Infiniti with the low miles you have. Its worth getting a warranty. I have a 05X the warranty has paid for both lower control arms and compression bushings! $100 total cost. I just had my bank one camshaft sensor replaced and got a free loaner 2013 G37. Nice car but like my 1st gen better!
Cockpit layout is alot better! You did find gold!! Not everyone is that lucky!!

Carmax believe or not. They didn't even know it was on the lot. They (I) had no idea about the RevUp motor either. The guy at the dealership and I joked some old guy had it, and drove it once a week...... The vehicle history indicated we were probably right.
I purchased the 5 year warranty from carmax received a letter in the mail a week later from Infinity.

Thanks for the great info.
There are a lot of fakes out there. Do your research. When you're done with your research get on the website and ask, people here know which ones real and which one is fake.

I have never been burned here, check the feed back on anyone selling here.

I have found a couple of people selling MREV2 that turned out to be only a 2004 lower plenum (that's what it starts out as, and Motordyne work them over for better flow) but I think they really didn't know or got duped themselves.
