Hi from Chicago Area
Hello every one. I picked up my 04 G35 6MT coupe 3 months ago and I love it. I am the second owner of it. When I picked it up, it only had 70k miles on it. Now it has 75( I drove 120 miles everyday to work) Previous owner did some upgrade/modification to the car. It has true dual exhaust with 3A Racing carbon muffler, plenum spacer and cold air intake. It has GTR bumper (fiberglass) and aftermarket headlights that has led strip on the side. Also, it is lowered but I am not sure how much and springs etc.
So this morning when I was parking I went too far and hit the bumper to those concrete stopper things and cracked the fiberglass. I am not a big fan of the gtr bumper because of it fitments however I dont like the stock grill, so i was kind of OK with it. Now that its cracked, I either need to fix it or replace it. I have been looking at the body kit thread but where can I order them from
Lastly, if the car is tuned for the exhaust, plenum and cold air intake, how can I tell?
DOMO I love this car!!

Welcome!
It likely won't be tuned if the PO skimped on poly front bumper (never buy FG on scraping bumpers lol.
I like the OEM plus look and the Nismo is the bumper I will buy when the time is right. You must do POLY no FG.
As for the Tune, when in park, press down on the cruise control switch and tap cancel while holding down CC set. Let go of cruise control down. Does one of the green lights flash? If so you are tuned.
Also, I live in the west loop. i might see if the Chicago G club is worth meeting this summer.

I like the nismo bumper with the deflector. I would be down for the summer meet. You can count me in!! Also, from my research I got the feeling that I need to replace the muffler on the car it looks like they are autozone mufflers lol.
If i were you I'd ditch that bumper and side skirts in a hurry. The mufflers would go as well. I'd replace the front bumper with either a kuruma z or a nismo bumper and factory or impul sides. Their are many quality mufflers out on the market so take your pic and prepare your pockets because once you see how much more beautiful these cars are when modded properly you'll be hooked. check the classified section, you never know what you'll find. The only way to tell if the car has been tuned is to put it on a dyno and tune it yourself. Also, what gets me is that everyone calls that the GT-R bumper when infact that bumper comes from a GT-R concept car before the actual GT-R went into production.
