Checking in from Boston

Just wanted to say Hi and show a pic of my ride.
I purchased this 06 G35 coupe with 12k miles for my birthday in May last year. It now has 22k and I still haven't really modded it out yet, I've just been reading the forum and confusing myself with options on upgrades/parts . I'm starting with brakes n rotors first but still just a bit overwhelmed on the options

Peace!

Hello,

She's a beauty! Have you narrowed down your options on the brake and rotor upgrade? I've considered doing the same to my 05 6mt.

Thanks!
I've pretty much decided on Akebono ceramic pads but I'm still researching and trying to decided on what brands of cross drilled and slotted rotors to go with. What are you considering going with?

At the moment i'm running stoptech street performance pads and stoptech drilled/slotted rotors. I'm wanting to do a complete brake system upgrade later this year.

I have no issue's with the stoptech drilled/slotted rotors and I've heard some good things about EBC drilled/slotted rotors. There are other brands on the market. But I went with what I've had good experience with on previous vehicles.

Cool, thanks much for the recommendation. Yours is pretty snazzy as well.
I see you have black turn signals, do those cloud up at all? As I'm looking to do the same to mine, cause I think it would pop nice off the white as well as match my black winter rims.

Your welcome

I've had them for about a month now and so far I haven't had an issue.

Welcome to G35 Driver, Heisenberg! Beautiful Ivory Pearl coupe! Wow, unheard of low mileage so congratulations are in order! I wouldn't concern yourself with the brakes until you need new rotors and pads. Then you can upgrade to DBA rotors and HAWK HPS pads as long as you don't leave your coupe outside in that right coast winter weather. The HPS pads don't like deep freeze weather! What would look good would be clear sides to replace those OE orange sides, that'll make em disappear. Have questions, use our Search! To obtain more knowledge about that IP coupe read all the stickys at the top of the coupe page! Again Welcome and enjoy the ride...Gary

Thanks, I do keep it in a garage and hope to be relocated to Florida before the next winter hits.
