Hello all. Just purchased a 05 blk on blk coupe for 11k. 77 thousand miles. Very clean except for the little tear on the drivers seat. From what I hear this is normal especially on a 10 yr old car. Just tinted the windows all around 5% in the back and 20% in the front. Having a small 300 watt amp with a sub installed as I'm typing. It's good to find a forum like this for my new ride. Came with the stock 19s. Would like to do 20s. Does anyone have any suggestions on a fairly decent price brand? Staggered if possible.

The larger you go with wheels, the more stuctural integrity comes into play. Also, keep in mind, you won't have as much tire to protect your wheel. When you hit a bump, your wheel is going to have to withstand more force than with a smaller wheel. Your OEM wheels are Rays forged wheels, which have superior structural integrity than cast wheels.
What look do you like? Are you wanting something deep-dish and aggressive? You're probably looking at quite a bit of money. Another option is to buy a used set. That's what I did.

Thanks for your input. I looking for something deep dish. Although I know that that would probably cost a lot more than something aggressive. But other than the rims, I would like to keep the rest of the car somewhat stock.

Staggered is a good choice but I agree, 19s are the way to go on the G.

If cost is an issue, there are plenty of companies that offer one-piece cast variations. Just bear in mind that larger wheels, like what you plan to look at, don't always hold up so well. In my personal experience, from hitting hard bumps and potholes, these cast wheels have developed flat-spots causing vibration in the steering wheel and making it difficult to balance tires. Not saying that it can't happen to forged wheels, but it's less likely due to the increased material strength that comes from the forging process. Another advantage to multi-piece forged is the fact that, if you bend the lip, for example, you can order a new lip. With the single-piece cast wheels, you have to buy a whole wheel.

My G is an automatic. I wanted a car with a great look that I can do minimal mods while keeping the engine stock and just cruise with. I think that wheels would be the only thing I would want to complete the look. Thank you everyone for the great feedback on the rims. I guess this is something that I would have to think about. I would just start saving, now. You might be able to get into a local G35/350Z group on Facebook. Then you can go to meets and see what others are running and whether or not you like the look/fitment. Wheels come up for sale in these groups all the time. That's how I ended up getting my TEs.
