Need help/advice With Quarter Panel Fix

I have had my 2005 G35 Coupe for 5 years now. I have had it garaged for the past year and a half.

I got hit on my rear driver side quarter panel 2 years ago, and never got it fixed.

I'm planning on making this my summer project car, i'm doing all the work my self.

My budget is VERY VERY limited. I love this car and I miss driving it.

Any tips on how I can do this myself?

Bondo?

Thanks

Have you ever done bodywork before? If not, don't learn on your coupe.

Do you have any bodywork tools? Depending on how bad the rust is, it may require welding in a patch panel. Do you have a welder or know how to weld on sheet metal?

You've got a lot of work to do before you are ready for any type of body filler, if you want to do it properly.

Is that Plastidip peeling off of your tires??

Due to the amount of damage and the severity of that rust, the PROPER way to repair that is to have a new quarterpanel welded on to the car. It involves removing the side and rear windows and splicing the new panel into the roof and rocker area, seam-sealing the door jambs & trunk, then painting the whole thing.

So what did you end up buying with the $2-3k you got from the other guy's insurance?

Oh my.... Yeah bud seeing your paint skills on the wheels says you should probably let the body shop so the work. for the good of your car.

Cheapest way: Drill a hole, pull dent. Looks like mostly surface rust to me, sand everything down, bondo it up, sand again and paint.
