Georgia newbie

This is my 04 G35. My name is Tim I've already met a few people here just dropping a line in the newbie section. As far as plans for the car..... Debadge and new headlights.....she's my daily so that will be about it I bought her with 159k on it but only paid 4300 so I think it was a good deal. The clear coat on the trunk is peeling but that's ok I can paint. I am a dad of 2 beautiful girls and a TIG welder by day. I have also thought of building a custom exhaust system but that will be down the road. So hello from North of Atl in a small town called Adairsville.

Hello and welcome.

Please just use a headlight restore kit and clean up the headlight, don't fall prey to the ricer ways and buy eBay ricer headlights. Your car deserves OEM.

Welcome to G35 Driver Tim! I too have a '04 Twilight Blue coupe I named SLICK when I joined our forums in '05! Headlights...3M makes a kit that will make 'em look like new for a long time purchase location! You could debadge your coupe easily in an hour but do a Search under debadge! I used fishing line to remove letters and emblem along with Googone to remove the glue. Your only issue might me shadows, but can be removed with a high speed buffer/cleaner. Good Luck Tim, enjoy the ride!

Yea I like oem lights but where the HID light is on the inside looks like is has melted...just from the looks of it. Is there a place to buy lenses only? I know oem headlights are $$$ and I can buy a set of the black I like for the price of 1 oem.... I'm far from rice and don't wanna be nowhere near it. When it comes to looks I love it already. You really think it rices em out to put black headlights? And yeah I just took the Infiniti off I'm leaving the emblem and the g35. I took them off in about 5 mins using 20lb test fishing line.....sure it didn't matter I just didn't want the line to keeps breaking. But after they are off I can't find my goo gone so it stays until I make it out later tonight.....

I've never heard/seen anyone selling just the lenses, too bad there would be a major market for them! Aftermarket headlights aren't the best For a major upgrade save your $$ and find a set of OE '06 projectors! That is the best upgrade anyone can make for a first gen G35 coupe! Can't find your Googone, use WD40 for the same result! When the fishing line breaks easily, use a hair dryer to soften the adhesive making removal easier!
