VQ is life

Hey all glad to finally join the forum after creeping for so long. We are a VQ household here in Georgia and I have a 350Z and my brother owns a G35S sedan.

Im currently looking for some stock G35 sedan suspension to take the Z rally crossing on. I know it sounds nuts but hey its what my heart is set on

I have a little bit of VQ knowledge but don't know a ton about the G platform and the differences. I plan to learn a little more about them as I lurk the forums. Hopefully you all will accept me even though im a pesky Z owner haha

I've never seen a long travel suspension for a G for rally cross, that might be interesting? Too bad the AWD never got a 6MT

Actually I wanted it because stock G suspension is about an inch higher with softer spring rates which is great for the dirt.

Long travel and a manual G35X would be pretty neat though! Although long travel might be overkill as im.not trying to.do Baja Rallying haha!

I believe yosip swapped a 6mt into a sedanX. There might be something to be learned from that thread.

Sounds like a logistical nightmare since there are no 6MT AWD ecu's to handle the yaw and traction control systems, custom adaptor to mate the transfer case to the 6MT, custom fab supports since nothing will line up...

Rather just wait a few more years and import an R34 or something.

Wow nice, I've seen it done a couple ways and they all seem expensive. The one that seems to be popular is adapting a GTR transfer case to the transmission of a 6MT and running it as an open diff and have it be purely mechanical. Still very cool stuff for the people who do it.

All weather floor mats for the win, super easy to clean.

No just the wheels, they just don't flow with the car IMHO.
