Hi! New to the forum, gonna have lots of questions :)

I bought my 2003 G35 coupe, 6 speed, without realizing a bunch of appearance parts were missing, and also before noticing there was a fair amount of annoying interior damage. I'm midway through repairing a tear in the leather seat, just gotta color match and seal it so there's that hah.
Everything runs perfectly save for a clutch rattle at idle, that goes away when the clutch is depressed which I'll be addressing soon but for now my concerns are mainly cosmetic.
Anyway, hi!

From what I've read on these forums, a small clutch rattle at idle is normal for OEM clutches and is nothing to worry about. It gets louder with lightweight flywheel/clutch combos but doesn't mean there's an issue. My car does it, and everything works great here as well.

Too bad I have a 5AT and a congenital hearing disability. I'd love to try out this noise. But I really couldn't turn down a 2006 coupe with 26.5K miles....

For cosmetic parts its always safe to say check out your local junk yards, there is also an app called row52 that junk yards use, most of them post pictures so you can see if the part you want is damaged already or not.

Hi Caiti03, "Welcome to the G35 Driver forums!" Like the previous members posted, read all the stickys at the top of the coupe page there's 14 years worth of knowledge right there. The chatter you're hearing is your transmissions throw out bearing, they get worn, dry and make that noise. Post pic of your ride, everyone likes to see new members G35's.
Again welcome, enjoy the ride...Gary
