New member looking for parts

Unfortunately I just had to get in an accident with my g35. Would very much appreciate any kind of help or advice on helping me fix it back up. It is a 2005 g35 sedan. Love this car to death so help me revive it!

Significant damage, complete replacement of all front components, no apparent frame damage. Talk to your insurance company but they will likely total out the vehicle.

If you want to tackle the project yourself I recommend finding a donor vehicle with either a blown up motor or significant rear end damage. You should he able to find something for about $1000 and then it's much easier to pull all the pieces at your leisure, salvage all the remains.

No airbag deployment correct? I would disconnect the battery and leave it off at least until you have the frontal crash sensor disconnected so you don't accidently deploy while taking stuff apart. Replace the frontal sensor since it took a pretty good whallop.

what zip in socal? for parts, i'd recommend checking all the resources out there, local salvage yard, craigslist, offer-up, forums etc as I've seen few part-outs for g35. Take your time in gathering all the parts altogether and drop them all the body shop at once, saves you time & $$.

There should be plenty of options where you live, there are lots of car enthusiast in your area, ask around.

The shop I go to is the Orange county collision in Fullerton, call Diego and get a quote.

just buy everything aftermarket

hood, radiator support, bumper absorber, bumper, headlights get them off ebay

all the parts will come black but if you buy used they may have some damage already for been old..

aftermarket wont be 100% exact but i use them all the time just need a little adjustment

I would imagine painting the new panels would be a significant cost also. Maybe even a full respray

Maybe he'll luck out and find a donor in the same color, then it's just a bolt on job.

I can paint the fenders ,hood, bumper for cheap on my day off

Only problem will be matching 12 year old paint without blending the doors
