I only hit top speed in the vehicle once and the runway I was on wasn't as long as I liked. It felt like I was rev-limiting the vehicle at 142 so I lifted the pedal and slowed back down. There's a longer runway at this particular airport so maybe I'll swing back by this weekend and verify that it was indeed governing me.

I was also on a shitty set of rubber that came with the vehicle and didn't necessarily "trust" the tires and that definitely played into me pulling back the throttle as soon as I felt the engine blip.
