G35s sedan 2007 water pump
Hi there all,
My g35s sedan started making a bad pulley sound (kinda metallic sound) and fluttering sound like bad gas. I've been using premium 92 on it, but didn't make a difference. Noise only happens under load at about 3000 rpms. Now I have coolant under the rear of the engine block. Could it be the water pump going bad?
Also, if it is, is this a DIY'er, I'm not a mechanic, but i hold my own, I think. HaHa. I cant seem to find video specific for it.
Any advice, I would be in your debt.

Clean up the underside thoroughly, get the vehicle in the air, running, with a good light and inspection mirror and find the leak EXACTLY where it's leaking. Then you will know which component has failed and can proceed with a repair.

I did that this morning and for the life of me I couldn't get a clear view, top or bottom, as to where it was coming from, but it starts condensing towards the rear almost under the transmission. When hot, it also smokes, but not too bad and the steam comes from next to the battery casing (passenger side). All fluids are good and the leak is green, but somewhat viscous. Its not overheating. I did have to put a half of gallon of water this morning, but that's the first time in months that i've had to top it off.
