4 Mods I'm doing this Friday
So had the car 4 days now - have done the research and here are my planned modifications - have already ordered the parts and hope to get this done next weekend. In order:
1) Replace spark plus with Brisk EOR14LGS - Not sure if plugs have ever been replaced since new - 137k miles on it.
2) Replace Coils with Becker Performance multi-spark.
Coils are also original and degrade over time. Car is 10 years old now and as long as I'm pulling the plugs it makes sense to proactively change them. I will keep the old ones just in case as very little is available about these coils but I got a great deal on them.
3) Install Mishimoto Compact Catch Can - very compact unit that also looks good. Will address oil fouling in the intake system, etc. Many say this is a must have modification.
4) Install Mishimoto silicone intake tubes. The original crappy accordion tubes will already be out from doing the plus/coils and why put them back in as they allow engine heat to affect the incoming air and also increase turbulence.
That's it for now - possibly this Spring/Summer I will look into intake plenum spacers.
