Shift selector 2005 g35 coupe

I pulled up and parked at the mall and shut down my car. felt my 6 speed stick and no resistance, it just floated around. I think shift cable or shift selector went on it. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Probably your linkage bolt broke/fell off, remove the ****, finish trim, weather boot and you can access the shift assembly and linkage bolt. Check out page 12 of the FSM.
