New Member 2003 G35 Coup

I have browsed this forum in the past, just registered. I own a Canadian 2003 coupe 6MT with around 60k miles that has all available options I believe like the bigger rims, sportier front and rear, moonroof, and heated seats. It is 100% completely bone stock and will always remain that way. The rims need powdercoated, the car was from Novia Scotia which destroyed the rims, and the the rockers are going to need some repairs soon, it was repo'd twice before it made its way to the states, but other than the two issues mentioned it's in great shape. Dash and climate control is in metric.

Kind of an interesting back story to my G35, I used to want one extremely bad for several years, but never had the money. Finally I bought this one in October of 2015 after I finally was making decent money at a new job, it was purchased off the bank after they repo'd it for $7200, it had 55k miles on it. The title and carfax are always wrong as they report KM (since it's Canadian) as miles. Drove it illegally from Connecticut to Pennsylvania, because you can't temp tag it on CT to my knowledge. Got pulled over by a NY state police for having a license plate bulb out. Told him the honest truth of what I was doing, and said I'm not lying I know what I'm doing isn't legal but there is no other way. The guy said since I was honest and polite he'd let me go, but don't let him see me again.

17 days later I was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer, drove the g35 to Vegas from Pennsylvania to get married as you get instant health insurance if you do that. Part of that trip was going through the Rockies in the Winter with a rear wheel drive car, through a nasty snow storm. I have a picture of my G35 rear wheel drive car at the top of the Colorado Rockies in the middle of winter.

I remember when getting married they asked me if we wanted a limo and I said no, I have an infiniti. Came back, got the surgery, finally recovered in mid 2017 and got to drive the car for approximately 3 months before it got garaged for winter.

That's one hell of a story! Glad to hear you're recovering. How was driving through that weather? And where is that photo in the snow? Looks kinda like a spot on I 70 in CO to me. BTW Welcome!

Nice clean looking vehicle to be sure. Don't completely discount a couple tasteful mods to the vehicle, a plenum spacer, the air box off a newer rev-up motor and an uprev tune add a lot of extra driveability to the vehicle while still keeping it very stock looking/sounding.
