I am in here for some advice. I have an opportunity to purchase a 2004 G35 sedan. It has some body damage but nothing from a collision. It rubbed a concrete post in a drive thru by the owners teenage son. It has 103k miles on it and has a few nice options such as moonroof, navigation, leather, spoiler, two new tires, and Bose sound system. The asking price is $700. I am unfamiliar with Infinities and the only Nissan I have owned was a 1993 Nissan 240sx which I really regret letting go... That was years ago and didn't realize that the instant gratification of a truck wouldn't last as long as the love I had for that 240... if I could only go back.
I will be possibly replacing my 2007 Chevy Malibu with this car and it is my daily, I also have a 1998 2 door Tahoe and a 2015 Veloster Turbo. I have 150k on the Malibu, 312k on the Tahoe, and 13k on the veloster, I do all of my own maintenance and all of my cars are well taken care of both mechanically and cosmetically. All look and run like new. Also I see on some G35's on the back it says G35X and some just say G35, what does that mean?
I understand I will be needing to do some cosmetic repairs on the G35 I'm looking at but want to know about dependability, known issues to look for, any issues I can expect to deal with and so on. I need the good, bad and ugly about this car, and is it even worth me buying and fixing?

Wow. If there are no mechanical issues, that's a phenomenal deal. Regardless, prepurchase inspection by a dealer is recommended unless you really know what you're doing with assessing it.
The only thing I really didn't like about both of my V35 cars was the oil consumption. Make sure you check the oil level every week (two weeks at latest). Other than that they are very nice cars and for $700 it's a steal. I just sold my totaled 04' G35x with 130k miles for $1600.
