I’ve searched the forums but I couldn’t really find what I’m looking for. Long story short, my older brother had been saving his G35 in a storage container since 2006, it’s a 2005 6MT with a rev up. He passed away a few years ago and just recently, we discovered the car hidden in the back of the container. I tried to hand crank it, I flushed the fluids, I did backyard hacks and the engine just won’t turn, I sold my Mustang and I saved up money to rebuild it in his name, I’ve got the entire drive system bought, all I need is a Rev up engine. I don’t want a used engine, I’d preferably want a rev up rebuilt stage 1. I’ve seen Concept Z performance sells one, but I don’t know if they’re a good source to get one from. Can you guys help me out? I’m deploying soon and I want to drive her before I leave. Thank you guys for taking the time to read this! I’ll attach a picture of his car.

What happens when u try to start it? Did u try to hand crank with the spark plugs removed? What makes u think the engine is seized up?

Just to expand on what Scorpio was saying, how EXACTLY are you trying to turn the engine, using the starter or turning it manually by hand from the crank pulley nut?

 

I tried with the starter, and it just made a loud grinding noise, but no crank. I put a breaker bar on the pulley nut and nothing, not even with my weight on it lol the container wasn’t sealed so humidity really took a tole on it, and the trans leaked the oil out through the part where the drivetrain connects to. When I threw it on neutral, it sounded like a ratchet rolling out the container. I kinda gave up so I got it towed to a shop, the mech said Friday he’d give it a go, so I’ll keep y’all updated.
