Where are you located in Cali? I know of a couple shops in So Cal that can help you. http://www.topflightcorvette.com/ in San Diego (ask for Lawton Jr. or Sr.), I went to Elementary and High School and used to street race with Lawton Jr. He is super knowledgeable and an expert tuning on the dyno. Top Flight Corvette has been around since the early 90's (atleast) and just completed a G / LS Swap last year. https://speedsocal.com/ (previously McKinney Motorsports (Notorious Nissan / Datsun Tuners in So Cal)), recently changed their name to appeal more to other brands an let people know they arenot limited to Nissan / Datsun. All the guys that work there have / previously owned R32, R33, MK IV Supras, etc, and are very knowledgeable (ask for Alex (GM) or Dom (Tech). When I was there recently, they were working on a 2JZ 5 Series BMW, and some other hybrid projects. They recently did a G / LS3 swap that I see rolling around town every now and again. They're a one stop shop for swaps, maintenance, auto / manual conversions, dyno tuning, etc. They will also source all (and price match most) of your parts / engine and fab parts for your swap.

That said, I wouldn't bother reaching out unless you are ready to go financially. In my experience, it can be bothersome to talk to people (shops in particular) about a build, when you aren't yet ready to pull the trigger.

Sounds like you don't even have the car or motor yet so you are looking at well over 20K IMO, just for the swap and car. That said, I have major plans for my G as well (with Speed SoCal) and I wish you the best of luck.

Keep us posted.

If he's got the budget for it and doesn't skip corners with the build, it will be a hell of a car!
Just like the 2JZGTE swapped G35 coupe!.

Talk about perfect power to weight ratio and reliability too.
That would be the car you keep for 15+ years.

There would be nothing else like it on the road (for under 30K at least unless he gets a nice used Stinger GT)
