New here Sound in my g35/skyline does not work!

This is my first official car which is a nissan skyline v35 250gt 2001 equivalent to the g35 2003-2004. I also live in the bahamas. Ever since i bought the car the previous owner had said that the radio never worked. I tried for myself and theres absolutely no sound coming from any radio stations, but the audio controls to change the bass, treble etc works as i can hear the sound of it changing.

From time to time audio thumps in but then fades back out as if it lost signal. And before it fades out it makes this loud thumping sound as if the wiring is holding on to dear life to stay on and just fades back out.

I changed the amplifier in the back still nothing, changed the head unit with another skyline one and still nothing. I dont know what to do now im at my wits end. I love this car to death but the silent car rides are saddening.
Any suggestions will be gladly appreciated!

Did the previous owner have an aftermarket head unit / do any audio modifications? You said you changed the head unit so I assume all the connections are currently true / correct?

Have you checked the fuses or the circuit board? I believe the circuit board (located behind the DIN), controls the climate control and the head unit. It may need to be replaced if the fuses are all in working order. I believe there are seperate fuses for the climate control and head as I blew a fuse for climate control once and the head unit still worked. Spare fuse solved that issue.

Here are some links I found that may be helpful.

Thanks so much i also should have mentioned that now when i hit on the side of the head unit the music kicks back in and stays on as long as i keep hitting it so i guess a fuse was blown. Thanks!
