help with transmission

hey guy sorry im new here... well I need to change the automatic transmission for a 2004 g35 I wanna revive my old car. I found a good transmission but those it need to be reprogram after the change or will be good after the swap 🤔 😕

Make sure you are getting the correct transmission. 2003 to Early 2004 cars have the TCM in the passenger side lower kick panel, Late 2004 and on cars have the TCM inside the valve body of the transmission. You can verify by removing the kick panel:


As far as I know, late 2004 cars you have to take the car to Nissan/Infiniti to have the TCM and ECU 'married'. Not sure about the earlier cars...

If you have the early style car with the TCM mounted in the cabin next to the ECM then you definitely don't need to get anything reprogrammed.

If you have the later style with the TCM inside the transmission then word on the street is you don't need to get it reprogrammed if it was a USED transmission but you will need to get it reprogrammed if it's a NEW transmission.

Is gonna be a transmission from other g35 not new is been used so doesn't need reprogramming??

yeah my ia insde the transmission since I change the solenoids cuz they gave the code but after that keep coming the same code and the csr lost power and transmission light came on the dashboard
if u see the reply after this one guy says if is a used I dont have to reprogrammed!!!!! Also if I dont reprogrammed what will be the issue.... are they gonna be present immediately

P1762 Direct clutch solenoid valve
all solenoids were replaced and tracks were check for continuity
