Changed passenger side head lamp and checked fuses but light will not turn on
Hello everyone,
I am looking for som e assistance with my 2005 G35 Sedan passenger side, head lamp. It recently went out so I purchased a new light and replaced it (both fog lights are still good to go). I have changed my head lamps before so I made sure everything was connected and checked the light while I still had the tire off and everything accessible. It would not come on. Double check to make sure wire was connected to headlamp and that connection was good. Popped Hood and check fuse for headlamps and the fuse was good as well. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I don't want to have to take it in and pay the Stealership to figure it out for me.
Update: Thanks for the feedback. I changed the ballast and it worked like a charm.

How do you have a 2wd G35x? Did you pull the front driveshaft?
Anyways, I had an issue in my '06 sedan where my lights would turn on then flicker and go out - turns out the ballast are finicky and the didn't like the cheap shitty bulbs. I threw in some Morimoto D2S bulbs and they've worked great ever since.

If all you replaced was the bulb then you likely have a bad ballast that is mounted on the bottom of the lamp. That's what I ran into with my 05 sedan. I bought one(ballast) brand new off Amazon for $50(with free shipping) in July 2019 and it works and fits perfectly. Have to pull headlamp assy to install or at least I did on the left side.
Either 2 things, 1 the ballast has water in it "unplugg it and let it dry" take a air compressor and just blow the water out and let it dry for a few hours or 2 the ballast is shot. I've had this same issue because I have no fender liners "I'm dropped" rain just splashes in and creates a short i take it off blow it out and works good as new until next time.
