Hey just wanted to check in. Just picked up a 2007 g35 coupe MT. It only had 78k miles! Anyway itet what I was looking for and is in amazing condition! Picked it up from the first owner. Won't be doing too many mods on it (maybe a sound system....maybe). But like working on cars in general.
Nice find! If you don't mind sharing, what did you pay for it?
I paid 12 for it, I probably could have gotten it for a little less I think. I had been looking for a few months, and this was one of 2 m/t that were in this condition from pics. The other one sold in a couple of days and was listed for I think 13 or so, didn't get a chance to look at it.
Ultimately it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but it was exactly what I wanted. Only thing I was looking for different was black interior, but when I saw the stone/black interior I really liked it. All in all, am actually even happier now with the purchase than when I got it, surprisingly. And actually glad I didn't get the all black interior.
Just a little more info, this was a single owner car that looks (and I'm pretty sure) was always garaged. Got full maintenance records back to 07 (haven't gone over them in detail yet, but they seem pretty complete). Everything is stock, except they added an aux cord to the radio. So it's definitely in much better than "good" condition. Not gonna say it's in factory condition because it has some extremely minor chips (door looks like it was closed on the seatbelt, little scratches on the trunk that were touched up, and a little ding on the door that looks like someone opened their door into it which I'm sure I can pop out with some hot glue sticks or something.

Look at the condition and extremely low mileage, definitely worth $12k in my area.
+1 on the stone interior, I have an obsidian black coupe with the stone interior and it's perfect. There's plenty of stuff inside that's still black but the grey leather and panels is an excellent complement. You can SEE all the details whereas with the black on black interior it all sort of washes together.
12k definitely seemed reasonable compared to what I was finding. Can't really find any manual transmission either. Biggest thing is the condition and that everything is stock. Its in amazing condition both interior and exterior.
And yes! The stone gives you that contrast that accentuates the lines and details on the interior! I'm sure the black interior is nice but this one just keeps growing on me!
As for pricing I always expect to pay a little premium for a socal car. I've seen enough cars from other areas and socal is just so much kinder to all cars. Honestly I would recommend to anyone that is getting an older car to get it from socal if you plan on keeping it for a while. Just my opinion.
Good condition, low/lower mileage coupes (especially manuals) do seem to be increasing in value a bit. Earlier last month a 32k-mile '07 coupe went for $17k (not including buyer's fee) on BaT. I was just wondering if that higher price was mainly due to the "BaT tax" commonly associated with their auctions or if prices are up in general. There does seem to be a trend though.
An '05 6MT w/ 55k miles was just listed there a few days ago. This is the third G35 in three months. It's not quite as clean as the previous two and is currently at $8500. I'll be watching to see where it ends up.
I picked up my 2006 5AT coupe, premium, sport package four years ago from a Nissan dealer (trade in on a... Juke. ) with 26.5K miles. It was a garage queen, unmolested. No driver seat tear. Paid $13K out the door. While not a steal, it was a fair deal for a fine machine. I have no regrets. Sitting at 42K miles at the moment. Did the front seat TSB...still no tear!
