I've been reading and lurking on this site for a little over 4 years now. First G35 was an 04 sedan I bought for my son when he started college, lots of helpful threads here that allowed us to clean up some issues with that one. Just picked up a 06 G35 coupe very cheap (under 1500) because it wouldn't start. Guy said he tried everything. We trailered it home, scanned for codes, nothing. Pulled a coil pack and plug, checked for spark, good spark. Shot it with some carb cleaner and it fired over. I told my son to get the gas can out of the garage and pour it in, it started right up. The dash is lit up like a Christmas tree but we are trying to work through all of those issues. The guy I bought it from said the airbag light was on due to the previous owner putting G37 seats in and the wiring was different. I think the seats are G35 though as the controls are on the inboard side of the seat near the console.

So long story short, newly registered but been on here for a long time. Tons of great info to be had here.

Heck of a deal on a car that just needed some gas

 

I think we did OK. It certainly didn't come without issues. We have the seats out now, cleaning and assessing all of the little parts needed for our run to the pick-n-save lot next weekend. It's up on blocks now waiting for the new brakes to get here while we work other items.

And I did verify by checking some of the part numbers found under the seats, the seats are G35 seats.

 

Yeah I just replied to your other thread, shouldn't be too difficult to work through it.
