So I have an 03 G35 with a little over 200k miles. My engine is knocking and the car is shaking. All the people I have talked to said the engine is done for and I need to get a new engine. Having a hard time finding a decent used engine online and was wanting to know if any of y'all know where to look?! And is there anyone in the Dallas area on here?

you may just find it worth it to do a JDM engine option.

 

Has an actual mechanic diagnosed the problem? Has anyone pulled and inspected the spark plugs?

If you're missing on 1 or 2 cylinders the car will still run but it's going to be shaking violently and running like absolute ****.

People talking to you about an issue isn't the same as actually diagnosing the problem. Just because it's got 200k on it doesn't mean it's a bad engine, it might just have 200k miles on a set of spark plugs...

 

I'm new to this so I'm not sure how I make a post but I have an issue if anyone can help that would be great so the other day when I was driving my car it was running kind of sluggish it was done with me to do but I decided to push the gas to the floor and as soon as the RPM's rised over 4,000 RPMs it shut off and then it just came back on with the engine light I took it to O'Reilly's hooked it up it says knock sensor p0327 and secondary DTC p0335 my suggestions were knock sensor or camshaft position sensor when I shut it off and turned it back on the VDC light and slip light came on it was hard to start a few times but I let it sit and now it starts fine but has loss of horsepower and runs kind of sluggish if anyone knows how to fix this that would be great
