New to the forum

Hello to everyone! I知 new to the forum so please be patient as I learn new things about this adventure that I am embarking on. I have a 2003 G35 coupe with an automatic transmission.
I am turning it into a Vaydor with the assistance of my daughter. I知 teaching her about auto mechanics and what better way than to build some thing totally crazy! I知 deep into it so far and I知 learning something new every day. I知 swapping the VQ for a 2JZ. I hope that doesn稚 upset this VQ family. I hesitated, including this information, but there is a lot about this build that will still encompass the soul of this G35. I will have many things to part out as I move forward with this build. The car had high mileage, but it was in excellent condition inside and out! I look forward to learning lots of new things and helping out with whatever knowledge I may be able to assist with. thanks for reading!

Getting ready for the transformation. Undergoing a transformation from a VQ with an automatic to a 2JZ with a six speed manual transmission. Wish me luck!!

Dropping the new heart into this awesome machine!

Built 2JZ waiting on harness and intercooler.

I'm going to split that post off into a new thread so it's not hijacking this one.

I've seen two different 2JZ swaps, one in a G35, one in a 350Z. Both didn't look TOO difficult but some of the hose routing was extremely tight. Fortunately the whole front is composite so it's super easy to drill/cut. Custom fab a bash bar to replace the stock bumper bar. Everything else was really straight forward.

Neither had AC though, that might make things interesting since it looks like you're trying to keep AC functional
