Basic stock
Spark plugs

Hey guys I have a question, can you use Bosch Double iridium spark plugs on an Infiniti G35, or are NGKs better recommended?

I always recommend stock plugs for the G35 unless you have some kind of forced induction.

DE engine is the platinum NGK PLFR5A-11

HR engine is the iridium DENSO FXE22HR11

If you really want to run an iridium plug in the DE engine then use the NGK LFR5AIX-11 but I don't think it's necessary at all, especially considering the DE engines usually drink oil so you're going to crap out the plugs before you actually wear them down once the engine is over 75k miles on stock piston rings. If your DE never drinks any oil over the 3500 mile oil change interval than the iridium NGK would be fine.

It’s weird that Vortech says to just run stock plugs imo.

350ish WHP stock plugs would be fine, if you're pushing up to 400 WHP it's probably time to gap them down to like .035 and pull them at the first oil change to make sure they're burning clean.

Experiment with a colder plug, if they're starting to get carbon fouled then it's too cold.

It takes a LOT of extra heat to melt a plug, it only takes a little less heat to foul a spark plug, probably why Vortech recommends stock heat range.
