05 G35 coupe new member

Hello all, just stopping by to make the new member into. How many posts until you're able to list in the market place?
honestly, I've been out of the car market a few years....thought I wanted another hobby so purchased a 05 G coupe with 69k miles. Turns out my wife's not on board with me sinking more money into a vehicle. Who knew? Anyways the car is mint and I traveled to the VA area for it.
It's pretty stock but I did purchase it from the original owner.
Only mods so far are injen intake, Tanabe medallion exhaust.

Yeah, it's super clean. I'm the 2nd owner but we will see. I thought I was going to be happy w the purchase but just doesn't hit the same as when I was a kid. Sooo I've listed it for sale in a few places. I was going to see if there was interest here but I don't think my post count is high to be selling anything here yet.

😂 Well for some context I at one point owned 3 cars in upstate NY. A 09 370z 6MT, a 05 G35 sedan 6MT, and a 06 350z 6MT. So from like 2009- 2017 I worked a stone throw from work and walk or would buy 1k beater cars... eventually I had to get a vehicle that was a main squeeze and could get me through the winter season like a adult. So sold them all bought a Tundra, and a motorcycle. Now 7 years later, I race them. Own a **** ton of bikes and when I bought another car, I got "the look". Well, I plead my case that I won't go over board. The car needed brake pads, and a muffler which I easily could have grabbed local pic n pull. I did not do these things, I bought brembos...then new pads and rotors, exhaust leak? Ohh well obviously a full exhaust, cd player didn't work? Sick looks like JDM navigation bezel, alpine ilx-w650 JDM climate control so navigation works....see what I'm doing here? Lol th exact opposite of what I told the lady. soooo happy wife happy life. If I could build it for free I would. But honestly, even with the current plans it's just going to sit in my garage and never be driven. Basically, the self control is weak ova here.

Self control is hard when Nissan makes such fun cars to play with. So much parts interchange across SO many years. And the aftermarket....

It's like a real-life K'nex set, stick all the parts together and see what you end up with.

You're not wrong, I probably won't end up selling it. I man currently I'm browsing FB market place for bikes at the same time I'm trying to figure out how to update the factory navigation. 😂

Unfortunately there is no update for the factory nav. The last map pack disc was over a decade ago.

There's some good write ups in the AV subforum to remove the screen and replace it with a tablet. Then you can use your favorite Android or iOS map app.

Or you could delete it entirely and replace it with the factory cubby hole that the non-NAV cars got.
