Hey guys i recently traded a stock exhaust for a pretty beat up tomei, I am running motordyne art pipes, and motordyne xyz w/resonator. I slapped the tomei on and it’s not as loud as I thought it would be. Comparing other videos of the same setup to mine, mine does sound way quieter than other videos. Kinda sounds muffled. I checked for exhaust leaks on the tomei and I don’t feel any. But I do have a small exhaust leak on the right art pipe. Will that be why the Tomei sounds so damn quiet? Without the Tomei on it does sound loud, but when I bolt on the Tomei, it’s so quiet. Really confused can this also be bad gas? Or something to the with a/f?

 

Check it for blockage, probably something halfway in the resonator or something lol.

 

I took the whole exhaust apart to inspect the resonators but they seem fine to me. Any way to clean them just in case?

 

If you can see through the other side (or light, etc), you should be fine. Odd you are having these issues.

 

I did take the whole Tomei and resonator apart to check and I didn’t see anything in the way. I feel like with cats it was louder, now that I’m straight piped it doesn’t sound loud

 

I honestly don’t know how it doesn’t sound loud. Maybe it’s just your experience from sitting in the car compare to your old Exhaust.

 

It’s definitely louder than stock right?
