G35 overheating issues (another one amiright?)
Alright, I’m new to this whole G35 charade and I bought one of these beauties with an overheating problem.
Firstly, it would overheat within about one minute and I fixed that by figuring out someone had unplugged the coolant reservoir hose from the radiator. I did a full coolant flush and burped the system (tried to properly do it with a non-spill funnel) and now she runs for about 10-13 minutes on normal driving around my neighborhood before overheating. It seems like the car is cooling just fine before it reaches between 1/2 to 2/3rds of the coolant temp gauge before it absolutely sh*ts itself and spikes to overheating temps over the span of the next 10-15 seconds.
Could this be a problem with the thermostat? or is the water pump dying? or perhaps could it be that there’s still air in the system and that air is expanding when it gets hot enough.
p.s. tried a head gasket tester and the fluid did not change color, nor is the coolant reservoir losing coolant at all.
Any advice is appreciated, I’m pretty new to this kind of stuff and I would appreciate if people weren’t absolute dicks about it.

Do you get GOOD heat out of the heater? If there's any air pockets in the cooling system, the heat may not get super hot like it should. If you have so so heat, you probably have air pockets that need to be burped out. You should get something like 140F air coming out of the vents if you stick a thermometer in them. The fact that you don't have a leaking head gasket is good. Both fans are coming on, right? What year model?
