So,i f my dealer gave me the vin number for an 05 6 speed that i ordered that is supposed to come at the end of Sep, does anyone know if there is a way to check the status of the car (shipping, on boat, en route, etc.) with the vin#?

 

i ordered mine, and there was no way to check, the deliver date was almost right on, but i had to have patience. if you develop a good relationship with your sales manager, as i did, he called every so often to let me know what they know about the status of my car. plus, when it got close, he called every day to let me know yes or no. good luck with the new ride!

 

I also ordered. I couldn't check, but the dealer could. About a week after I received the VIN, they checked and got a delivery date. I had the car in my possession about 4 weeks after I got the VIN. Texas delivery. BTW, they also gave me a tracking number at the time they gave me the VIN. I had to call them with both and they would check the status and return my call. Usually within 30 minutes. The car got there 1 day before the ETA date, but my salesman was off that day, so i got it the next day, the actual ETA day.

 

I just picked mine up. Got it a week earlier than expected. the sales manager sent me email updates and checked periodically. and more towards the delivery date.
