***PICS*** Picked up my new '05 Black Coupe 6mt =)

I wasn't able to get the dealer to remove the body side moldings because they were too afraid of damaging the paint because they admitted it was soft...I guess I can live with it, they knock my price though to compensate my dislike, but here are the pics of my new ride =)

Because they didn't have any 6MT lefts, let alone the options I was looking for with the Athens. It was one of my requests, I said Blue, Black, or White with these options and then the only one they pulled out was this...

Because I didn't really have room to just pick exactly what I want in the car with the options I was looking for...plus they refuse to remove half the stuff. It's tough to get the car I want at the end of the year when inventory is scarce for 6MT's

I hear you.. are you on the west coast? Somewhere in this forum a few threads down you'll see an AB thread, the guy said it was the last fully loaded AB 6MT on the west coast. I personally have seen only one blue on black 6mt at a South FL dealer throughout the entire year.. that's how scarce they are. Why don't you go to another dealer to remove the BSM?

Yah tha is true, and I bet they didnt want to remove things cuz then they would have to reduce the price. Splashguards are ok, but the side moldings, man, they gotta go.

I'm from the midwest (yeah, crazy snow up here but my company is giving me a rental for the weekends during the winter ). All the other dealerships are about 2 hours away and I'm not sure if it is even worth the drive to remove the BSM unless I happen to be in the area. But yeah...I spent a whole week debating with them to remove the BSM before I went to pick it up...so I gave up and just said just give me the frickin' car, I'll just deal with it.

Yeah...I wanted the smooth look just because it's easier to wax the car and the car generally looks sexier. I guess the dealer got annoyed with all my requested changes and bugging them. Oh well, at least I got the G with only 2 miles on it

Seriously, try and remove them yourself. Search on here or my350z, or freshalloy for a DYI. It can't be that hard, they must be held by 3M double-sided tape.

2 miles? Lowest I've heard of was 4. Did you get the Nav too?

You call 2miles leftover? I got my car with 8, and my car wasnt sitting on any dealership.

I think that I read that the side molidings on the Coupe are held by 3m where as the sedan's they have it stuck in harder.

My bad...I meant "leftovers" as in limited car choices with whatever options that are already on them without much room to pick and choose what I want exactly.

I do recall at one time when I searched for removal of BSM, I will check into it.
