I have a 2006 G35C with premium package that comes with the built-in bluetooth device. I'm currently using a Nokia 6682 (Cingular) and I've loaded all my contacts in. When I'm making calls the bluetooth would always drop/loose connection with my cell phone when the other party answers their phone. The call doesn't actually drop - it's only the bluetooth connection that drops, and I have to use the cell phone to continue my call.

Anyone else having this problem? I know if I take it to the dealer they're going to tell me that it's probably my phone that's not compatible.

The Nokia 6682 has had that bluetooth problem with other cars, not just infiniti. I know over at the TL boards where I initially helped out with their tech section, there were some issues unresolved.

First thing to do on the 6682...hit *#0000# and it'll bring up a firmware version number. If its anything like 3.0.1 you're out of luck. A newer version was just released last week so you might even want to call the guys at XBM and tell them your bluetooth keeps on dropping the signal and unpairing and what not and they will send you another one.

Motorola and Sony Ericsson phones work exceptionally well with bluetooth car kits. Now, depending on which one you get, if its a non series60 device, then chances are you'll have good luck too. Anything like the 9300, 6682, 6620, N90, etc etc will most likely have problems.
