Just bought a brand new g35 coupe

Hey guys im a virgin on here so take it easy on me. I just purchased a new 2006 g35 coupe AT (ivory) fully loaded. I just had a couple questions about it..is there a post on breaking in the engine a certain way? Also is there anything the dealership can add on like allowing the navigation to play DVDS as well. Um..thats it for now other then that its a great car I love it..drive safe. Chris

Welcome to the site and I hope you enjoy your stay. You might as well tell your wife, g/f, significant other, or whoever that you will be online often because you have a new addiction

Have fun and congratulations on your new ride!

The only break-in info the dealer gave me on my 05 was to keep revs below 4000 for the first 1,000 miles. Not always easy to do.

Chris,

Congrats on your new G and welcome to these boards. When viewing these boards . . . Make sure you do not wander off into modifications related threads. If you boldly venture into the said . . . You will surely fall prey to the "Mod Bug." You have been warned.

On a serious note, I followed the Owner's Manual with regard to the break-in procedure.

For the first 1200 miles:

1. Avoid driving at a constant speed for long periods.
2. Do not run engine over 4k rpm.
3. No WOT
4. Avoid quick starts and hard braking.

Be sure to check the tire pressures when the tires are cold. I have read that some dealers often tend to over inflate new car tires, which is not a good idea.

Enjoy your new G!

As long as the tints conform to local law enforcement requirements, I can't see why they would give you a hassle. If they do for some reason have to work on something that requires the window, they likely will tell you they are not required to have the window re-tinted and you'll have to pay for it.
