Convert from an M3 to a 06 Coupe 6MT

I am previous owner of a beautiful 03 BMW M3 Steel Grey Metallic. I made a mistake about 6 months ago and sold my car and bought an SUV (Armada). I was in complete denial that I missed the performance of a well engineered sports coupe. That was until I drove the 06 G35 (thanks to my wife), I have to say it may not be an M3 however it is a wonderful car and the rear active steering I believe makes it handle better than the M3 and let’s not forget the price difference. I think it is the best choice that I could have made.

The particulars;

Premium Package, Aero Package, Rear Active Steer Package, and Sirius Satellite Radio. All this for 37,250.00 out the door, that is a steal in my opinion since my wife’s new 325i was more with less features and much less performance.

And lets not forget Black on Black;-)

I need to thank Ryan Frisco Infiniti of Tampa without his help this deal could have never of happened.

First of all, Welcome to the G family! and congrat on your recent purchase. Do you have some sort of connection with Infiniti? its lil alarming to me that dealership are willing to give such deep discounts so early in the model year, I mean the MSRP on that car is 38950, thats 3700 off not even counting the DMV fees and sale's tax, that cant be good for the resale vaule of the G down the road.

When I first went to the dealer I wanted a g35 w/out the rear active stear and w/out the premium package, and it had to be black on black. The dealer stated they found one in miami however they did not want to ship the car. So they showed me the one on the show room floor and indicated that they could get me a good deal. I loved the car but I explained I did not want to pay the premium for the car. And then they gave me a deal that I could not turn down.

However I did get screwed on my trade. The Armada droped 11,000.00 in the 8 months that I owned it plus I had 22'' rims on it.

I edited my first post I did not realize that I put the wrong price in I got the car for 37250 not 35250. I wish I could have e made a deal like that. Any way I think I got a good deal on the car. I just can not wait until the break in period is over... Sorry to mislead everyone:-(

yeah i'm a little weary that Ryan would offer such a good deal if it wasnt a trade in...INvoice for an auto w/ prem/rearactive/aero/sirius is ~35191 according to edmunds. Yes i know its in tampa but if you were in Cali where the tax is 8.5%...add 8.5% on the invoice...its 38182. excluding any other fees like registration , etc... this is already ~$1k over waht you got it for. no way they are selling these for less than invoice. ..btw, whats the tax rate in tampa?

I double checked the numbers, according to the Infiniti's website, evidently you cant get rear steering/areo pkg without the sports tuned pkg and MSRP/Invoice with that is 40100/36570!

I will give the same deal to any forum member regardless of if there is a trade or not.

Thanks,

Please pardon my suspicion of an dealership willing to sell G35 coupe to anyone for 1k~1.5k-ish below invoice without something on the back end, wheather it be trade-in or from financing. But if you actually can? get ready for ppl to bust down your door for a unheard of great deal!

I cannot speak for Ryan and I will not try to. The tax rate in Florida is 6% and I believe in Tampa it is 6.75 or 7, they have to pay for the Buc Stadium. The trade greatly helped to offset the taxes on the vehicle because I had already paid the tax on the SUV. I also bought a protection plan outside of the purchase price of the vehicle so that may be how the dealership was able to make up the difference. The plan consisted of an insurance plan on the wheels and tires and an environmental protection treatment that protects the paint and the interior for 5 years. That ran me I believe 800 or 900 dollars. Also it appears I paid a little over invoice. Invoice on the vehicle is 35612.00. The reason I think I got decent deal is for 2 reasons, trade, and they did not want to transfer a vehicle from another dealership.

I am leaving today for a business trip in Tallahassee and I will post pictures over the weekend.

oh 37k instead of 35 sounds more reasonable. I was starting to think that you smoked crack together with the dealer dood prior to that quote.
