New G35 Owner
New G35 Owner
Gents,
It's been a long time waiting, but I'm going in to my local Infiniti dealer in the morning to (finally) order up my new '06 6MT Coupe. I've searched the Earth for this combination, but none exist on this planet so I'll have to order and wait. Here's the list:
Athens Blue
Graphite Leather
Premium Pkg
Aero Pkg
Navigation
XM
Possible Dealer add-ons:
Splash guards
Body side moldings
Chrome 19's (are they available?)
I think I'm going to pass on the rear steer. Perhaps I'm old school, but I'm not sure I like the back end doing the driving. If anyone has comments or suggestions I'm all ears.
I am partial to the 03-05 rear spoiler and don't really care for the new style. Is there some way to get the old style spoiler instead?
I think the splash guards are a good looking addition and should keep the lower rock(er) chips to a minimum.
The jury is still out on the body side moldings. I really appreciated them on my previous car as they were at the perfect height and prevented numerous door dings. I haven't seen how they look or at what height they are on the Coupe. What's the verdict?
I will be able to utilize the VPP (I'm leasing), so salesman pain should be at a minimum. Does anyone have any additional secrets when using the VPP?
Any comments or advice is welcome before I pull the trigger!

Welcome to G35Driver Sean, and congrats on the new (soon to arrive) G.
Don't be too bummed on the rear steer......I have it on my M and it's very passive and unnoticeable. It's only meant to kick in to help in an avoidance maneuver, only changing the the rear wheels 1 degree to facilitate control of the car in the avoidance move.
Colin.
