I'm glad I went w/ the G Ride instead of a Lexus IS350

I bought my car in early December and till this day I could not have been happier with my decision. When I was shopping around to buy a new car my choices were between: the Lexus IS350 and the G35. I went test drove both cars and was ready to buy the Lexus. My decision was based mainly because no one had that car yet. But, than as I sat down with Lexus to make the deal they offered me the car out the door for $46k!!!! With every option I might add. So, after he gave me that quote, I went down the street and bought myself my G Ride for $35k. Fully loaded and fully satisfied with my decision.

G Coupe > IS 350
G Sedan (maybe) < IS 350

Is the Coupe THAT different from the Sedan?

I would say the Sedan has advantages over the Coupe just the same as the Coupe has advantages over the Sedan. They certainly share more than they differ.

Performance wise I'm sure they're similar... but looks wise... man, the sedan is fugly (IMO)! No fender flares, and the front headlight and rear trunk designs kill it.

I might be biased but I think the Sedan is one of the most beautiful cars on the road. The same can be said for the Coupe. Both are far from fugly. No doubt the Coupe is the sportier looking of the two but I would say the Sedan is more elegant. The chrome color around the windows and on the door handles is so shiney! That being said, I prefer the door handles on the Coupe.

If I was a little shorter I'd be happy to own a 05-06 Coupe but I still think I prefer the Sedan. I know I'm in the minority amoung the younger crowd but I'm proud of it

congratz on the car man,
I like the sedan over 2 dr just because i like to chill with my friends and i hate to move the seats and the fact that my friends will be kicking my seat everytime they go back. Looks wise the sedan isnt bad that is one reason i bought a sedan 03. and i'm very happy with it althought i didnt drove it..lolz

yeah, i wanted the coupe too since i already have a 2k2 6spd max...but then i thought about it for a few days and decided the sedan's more practical package suited my needs better and would be cheaper in a cost-to-own basis when you factor in insurance, tires, and possible speeding violations...

my brother-in-law is looking to get a coupe too after getting the shaft from lexus on an is250....
