Bought G35
Bought G35
Hi everyone, i just bought a used 2003 g35 and will pick it up on monday. it has 42000 miles and i'm paying 27000 for it. I'm trading in a s2000 cause it just doesn't have enough room for me. i know the car only had one owner and it is in great shape...what i want to know is when i should do a transmission and diff fluid change. also, what other things should i look in to when i get the car....another thing, does the car have pretty good pick up speed? my s2000 was pretty quick, i ran a 14.2 with jsut a coupld of bolt ons....what is the time on a stock g35? please give me a lot of input and i appreciate it.

It will definitely have the room you're looling for.....and the performance and looks you want too.
Hopefully it will have been looked after and maintained properly, but If it were mine, I'd go ahead and change out the tranny fluid, and diff. oil. (good insurance).
Stock Coupe times are in the low 14's too, and you can go from there with bolt-ons. The coupe won't be quite as agile as the S2k but it will be more comfy and less spartan.
Congrats again, and post up picks when you pick her up.

That's early but it's cheap insurance .....
C.
if i was trading in a s2000, i would have at least went with a brand spanking new 06 if not 05 with close to zero miles on it...(most if not all g35's will leave the factory with 7 miles due to field testing).
as for fluid change, i'd do it immediately since i don;t know how the previous owner has driven the car...otherwise check your owner's manual for change interval...
