Is $1900 too much for this repair? Pics inside.
Honestly, for $1900 you should get a brand new fender painted and installed. I have a quote to get some damage on my bumper fixed that is worse damage than your car and that is only $800 and includes removing the whole bumper, fixing the deep scratches and repainting it. That was an Infiniti dealer quote.
I think the DD quote probably included a new clear bra which looked like it was on the car. As Scootch said, especially with metallic paint, it has to be blended properly. You have a fender, bumper cover, and clear bra.
I seeing as the clear bra alone can run 500 or so, I don't think the price from DD was that bad. Additionally, I know that the guys from DD are great guys and they would never even get involved in accepting the repair job if they couldn't deliver it back to you as good if not better than factory!

1900 didn't include clearbra. I didn't go through DD (although now I'm kind of wishing i did). I went to Hempstead Collision ($1200) since they also seemed reputable. I have to go back to them. I put the details in the last post on page 1.
