EZ Pass Transponder Mounting and Interferance

Does the front window tint strip in the G Sedans interfere with the EZ Pass transponder operation? I'd much rather it sit behind it then be visible. Thanks.

I have the FastLane pass, and I mount it behind the tint strip. It does not interfere at all, so far as I can tell, and I've been using it there for 6 months. The best part of it is, you can't see the white transponder from the outside of the car unless you're standing right next to the hood and looking for it! I put mine right behind my mirror.

I have it mounted exactly there (behind the strip) and have never had any problem. Don't worry, it will work. I'll bet my ***** on it.

Two questions:

1) Is there any danger of harming the tint if the double-backing tape is later removed from the tint?

2) Some areas, such as the New York City metropolitan area, have E-Z Pass in certain highway lanes so that you don't even have to slow down for the E-Z Pass to work. For folks who placed their transponder in the tinted area, no problems at all?

Thanks.

I actually mount my EZ Pass behind my inspection sticker. The EZ pass is just that much wider so you can mount it 'around' the sticker. Its hardly noticeable since the sticker is already there.
