Where do you have your EZPass?

Just got a new one and looking to mount it in an inconspicuous place. It says to mount it below the tint if there is any on the top of windshield, but it looks ridiculous given how far the tint seems to come down.

But by the same token, they send you a foil bag to keep it in in your car if you don't want it read at a particular booth. So which is it - either the thing is so sensitive that it needs to be in a foil bag not to be read and will be just fine mounted anywhere - or it needs to be in one particular spot.

Anyone have it mounted on the bottom/drivers side corner of the windshield? Or right behind the rearview even if its tinted?

I have it mounted with velcro behind the rear view mirror. The tint does not affect it.

I thought that would be fine but the manual says not to for whatever reason. Doh. That will teach me to read the manual.

I have the plate-mounted style. I keep it wedged between my passenger seat and the center console, and just toss it on the dash before I go through a toll.

they just say that for liability reasons, just in case you crash and try to sue them.

I tried holding it up, but found that works sporadically if not held correctly or in the right spot.

Same same, as an occasional user it sits in the glove box wrapped up in the static bag it came with. I have a second pass for my eclipse too. It stays locked being it's a convert.

Yeah I wondered about holding it up to the front windshield and figured that would work. Only sketchy around here though as some of the lanes are 50mph...

I travel into Pa. sometimes where they have the high speed lanes and I hold it up just infront of the rear view mirror which presents no problems. Just keep it held up till you pass the sensors.
