Front plate-less, what's the fine?

Front plate-less, what's the fine?
Can someone tell me what the fine is for driving without a front plate in CT?
Does it carry any potential points that might increase your insurance costs?, or is just a plain fine that you will need to pay?
- Thanks.

Re: Front plate-less, what's the fine?
You may be able to take the ticket to traffic court, show the judge that the plate is now installed, and hope he just makes you pay court costs. I had a similar experience on another car in RI, where I was stopped for speeding and got hit for having the front plate on my dashboard. I got the speeding ticket knocked down to court costs due to a good driving record, and he did away with the plate issue when I explained it is now attached to the vehicle in the proper location.
Of course I have yet to install the plate and StrictlyZ adapter on the front of my coupe. :-P

From CT DMV website:
Conn. State Law Sec. 14-21b(c) requires each owner or lessee of a motor vehicle to display the reflctorized plates that have been issued to them. Anyone cited for violating the law faces a fine of $60. State law also requires that when two plates are issued, which has been done with the new plates, both must be displayed on the vehicle.

Yeah, but the question is, would my insurance premium go up as a result of that ticket, or this ticket has the same effect as a plain parking ticket that does not carry anything against my insurance policy?....

I know its not considered a moving violation...In New Jersey anyway, I have my car since Oct 03, and I deliberately told my dealer not to put the holder on....I will take my chances and if I do get hassled I' ll probably get the plate holder from strictly Z....$60 but worth not putting any holes in my bumper....20ld4this
