Question for NJ drivers - vehicle inspection
I'm due for vehicle inspection in June and have clear corners with orange bulbs, and a CAI. Do I need to put the OEM parts back in before going to inspection?

I may be mistaken, but as long as the CC's emit the oem bulb color it is legal. I on the other hand have been riding around for the past year with red LEDs in the CC's
Not a single ticket for them and not a peep out of the poopoo

NHTSA requires that the reflectors must be amber in color. They dont care the color of bulbs hence the cars are not imported to the US with clear corners. Does your avg cop know this? prob not but i wouldnt risk it at inspection.
...i have blue tinted lamin-x headlight covers - does anyone know for sure if I'm a going to get a ration of shxx about this too? if i peel em off, they'll be worthless...same cost as if i went to pvt inspection.

In Pennsylvania, clears with orange bulbs is still failing - well at least at an Infiniti Dealership. I now take my car to an independent shop and always keep the amber corners in my trunk in case. I say take the car to an independent if you can, they may not be as **** as the dealership.
...bump

When you start Mod'ing you must be prepared to pay if that what it takes. I have always mod my car so first thing I do is find a shop or mechanic that will let me slide
My friend moved from NY to NJ and as far as I know NJ is much stricter than NY. If my friend can find a place to pass his Turbo'd Civic then you too should be able to find one. Look around and ask local car enthusiast.
