Bumper 2 Bumper S.L.A.P Show and Shine
So today I was planning to go to drool all over 617G's twin turbo setup at the Brighton/Soilders Field Meet but because he had some electrical problems and he couldn't make it 
I decided to go attend and compete at the Bumper 2 Bumper SLAP Show and Shine competition in Brockton
.
Quite a few cars showed up with some sick systems (ie. 2 15' Kickers powered by 2 1100watt amps, 3 15W3V2 etc). I have been doing car shows for quite some time and have never competed in a sound off competition but to my surprise the G took home 3d place with 2 JL Audio 12W6V2's and a JL Audio 1000/1. For my first reading I played Llyod Bank's "Ain't no click" and scored a 132db. On my second reading I played a classic... Mobb Deep's "Shook Ones" and got a 138.9
. The judge looked at the meter as it climbed up and that realized I had a stock head unit and couldn't believe it (neither could especially with my bass at -3). I guess the factory head unit does just a good a job as the aftermarket radios since the majority of the setups there included them and were hitting the same or simialr numbers.
I also took home 1st place best of show for 2 door mild!

Damn I wish I knew about that I would have gone. I had mine metered before and was pushing 144db. When is there another one? Oh and by the way what competition did you win to get that ketchup bottle?

damn i wonder what my 1 13" would push...? you know all you have to throw on was some lil jon and it would have been a wrap. i would had that bia bia goin, especially when its luda's verse. omg. anyways, very cool stuff, congrats on your winnings. next time you run into that one Porsche again, you can bump your **** and when he turns his nose up again you can say "hey this is award winning racket, so **** off!"
