I hate I-287!!!!

Well, I'll get pics soon, but just wanted to vent and share my anger right now. Driving this morning to work on 287-E and of course I'm in the left lane cruising along when a car kicks up something looking like a brake pad right at my windshield.

I slam on my brakes and I hear a thud on my grill. I get to work in New Rochelle and get out of my car when I see a gash right in the center of my car. On the front bumper, grill, and hood. The Infiniti sign flew off to space and I have a gash about 4 inches wide from the bumper to the hood.

ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! !!

I'll take some pics to share with you guys after I calm down and go home!!!!

That sounds horrible. Why didn't you pull over right as soon as you heard the thud?

Lets see some pictures. Insurance should cover it regardless, but depending on your deductible it may be cheaper to just fix it.

I agree that I-287 IS the worst...

My daily driver (WRX) is on windshield #3. (would never subject my G to this torture

Watch out for those dump trucks doing 80 in the center lane...

I feel your pain!!! I had two silver-dollar sized mini-boulders bounce of the hood of my 2 day old STi's hood and wing. I didn't learn the first time so I got struck again on 287 when my G was 2 months old by a "Rogue" empty glass Snapple bottle flyin through the air WTF? It hit my wiper arm, and windshield, and somehow neither the bottle or my windshield broke. WEW!!

i've got a bunch of nicks and scratches luckily, most were treatable with scratchx. last nite, a bird flew into the grill. I was doing about 65 and the bird just flew right across my path. i wish it had stayed in the grill or just fell to the ground. Instead, it rolled up my hood, my windshield, and then on the roof and off. I wish there was someone behind me would've loved to see their face

Hey guys,

Need your opinion. Did some searching on CF Hood and found this one.

http://www.raceonusa.com/index.asp?P...OD&ProdID=2465

RACEON Carbon Fiber OEM Hood > Infinity G35 03-06 > 4-Door
$539.10

How do you guys think it would look on a DP sedan. I think kind of funny on a sedan, but wanted your opinions. Can anyone photoshop it for me?

It's going to cost me $1250 for hood painting and repainting on fenders for blend. If I get the CF hood that would save me $600. Thoughts?

I'm going to take some pictures tonight of the gash to share with you guys.
