It looked like he did the same thing we did...but somehow much, much faster. I think he just knew where to pull up on the bumper so that it went in quickly...whereas we were all over the place, hahaha.

Well...I guess when I do it I don't completely remove the bumper. I don't remove the wheels or linings either...

I was tired when i read the post and thought he didn't touch the bumper at all. Damn, I got excited for nothing.

Wil, your bumper was just a pain in the *** haha

come learn from the master LOL

just kidding!

its fairly simple. I just removed the 4 screws and the clips across the top and holding the upper part of the grill and the bottom of the bumper I slide the assembly out of the plastic lip brackets under the headlights that hold the bumper in place. from there its a matter of getting it to slide down below the foam bumper guard thing inside and there you have it. All 4 of the bolts holding the lights in are right in front of you and easy to get to with the bumper still basically attached to the car. When you're done simply grab the bumper in the same 2 places and slide it back up and replace the clips and screws

Its to the point now where I can drop my bumper and pull lights at like 1am with a LED flashlight, 10mm socket and a flat head screwdriver in like 15-20min right in front of the house on the street

practice makes perfect... and with as many times as I've taken my lights out for new lighting mod ideas I've had plenty of practice

Will & Mike can attest to what my headlights look like now...

I'll try and snap a couple pics of the lights tonight if I remember to do it LOL

I was surprised at how bright the LEDs were in direct sunlight... I never paid attention to the MCD of the LEDs I was using in the strips but once I switched over to individual LEDs and got the 8,000mcd ones the difference was insane!

The strips I was using were 300mcd (no I didn't miss a 0 or a comma) and the new LEDs I use are 8,000mcd

(MCD is the brightness of the LED light. The higher the number the brighter they are. I recently found some 11,000mcd LEDs but I have yet to buy any)

Last night a few of us pulled up next to a white G35 with a carbon fiber hood (not oem style) and before I could look at the rest of the car we took off.

Whoever it was, I think I heard you say "Oh Damn!" or something like that when you saw the 3 Ducati 1198's and my Yamaha R1 pull up next to you at the light.
