Most everyone on G35Driver prefers the non-sport bumper. The "sport" bumper looks goofy.
Someone better hurry and make an aftermarket bumper for this car. The strange thing is, the grill looks like it's part of the bumper. Odd.

The non-sport 5 double-spoke wheels looks better than the sport wheels too. What gives? Sport is supposed to be the sexier beast. Infiniti got it backwards with this one.

Thanks for posting the pics Kenny!

Meh, The g37 look makes me glad I bought the last year of the G35. Perhaps when i'm back in the markent for a new coupe the next generation 'G' will come and it'll look nice again.

when r u come in for service again? stop in we'll go for a drive.

i just did a class-- bmw 328i vs g37 coupe journey... we went on a closed course diong 130mph -- man those 14" brakes are sick w/ no fading or warping on a 6k mile G37. it could use a little more torque but it does pull nice.... softer and no rattles from the sunroof (until we ddrop it of course)

hey man how did the 328 fair against the G37? all i have seen is G37 comparo's vs. 335i's, not too many if not ANY comparisons between those two.

well this is my personal and honest comparo.... we learned a lot today.... the 2007 328i non metallic white with sport wheels, prem pkg, active steering, sirius, heated seats, automatic stickered at $49k vs the G37 journey auto prm nav spl tech $44k...

the bmw had a harder ride especially on a bumpy highway...the G37 is a firm ride but the brakes stood to be a big difference....11.8 on bmw vs. 14.0 on G37 journ w/ spt pkg (non sport has 13.0 f/r)
performance......that was no brainer.

I liked the iDrive in the BMW....wait wrong dream....

the BMW did have climate cooled/heated center cupholder the G37 doesn't. it also has cool power seat belt brackets that push the seat belt towards the driver or passenger....

bad fault w. the bmw is to get into the rear seats...u have to hold the damn button to move the seat forward and back....the G is one touch standard.

G37 also has more front legroom and rear shoulder room than the 328....

run flats r the worst ride...ftl

also....the bmw trunk is slightly bigger than the G37 but its just cheap looking plastic in the trunk of the 328i....also cheap looking is the hood....if u ever see a BMW the hood isn't smooth on the underbody edges....also the plastic BMW fenders and bumper do not line up at all with the rest of the bodylines....fit and finish just wasn't there for a $48k car.

wind noise was significantly louder on the BMW vs the G37... also the BMW has 1st gen G style sideview mirrors....tiny u can't see much...the new G is so much better...

the Logic7 sound system of the 328i sounds like a stock G clarion system.

that's about it to rant about....the G is peppy with 8k miles on the one I drove....u feel a difference against a brand new one.
most people will test drive a new G with no miles on it....u won't feel the power like u would in a G37 with mileage....but for the $40k to $44k average pricetag its a good damn job on the G37
