Looking for cheap place to do my 15k service - DC area
I just found out today from Passport Infiniti that the 15k service is $380!!
Does anyone know where I can get the same stuff as the 15k service for less? I'm willing to drive 20-40 miles (anywhere between Rockville -- Fairfax)
Thanks

I don't get it. You guys buy a 30-40k car and can't afford to get it service at the dealership? $380 is nothing when it comes to the life of the car. Yes you can take it somewhere else, but how is that going to look when you decide to sell the car?
Yeah, for my 15k service, instead of taking it to the dealership, I took it to Jose. He only charged me $120 for almost the same service provided at the dealer. Now, my AC stopped working and for some reason, it smells like azz when you turn it on.
But hey, I saved $260 by going to Jose.

the 15K service list includes stuff like "lubricate antenna mast".... which we dont have. To be fair, thats for QX4.. but anyway.. look at the list they offer, compare it to your manual. You'll find its 90% pure profit and not needed in my opinion. Aside from normal fluid changes youre probably due for, I would just make sure the brake pads were holding up. As long as you do whats in the owners manual, youre fine for warranty.
If you have a honest dealership, when you ask them to break down the list, they often start knocking alot of things you dont need off the list.
I did however take the 30k more seriously and addressed the coolant, trans and diff fluids (my car was 3 years old at 30k, so based on time, these things were needed)

15k service is no more than an oil and filter change with a bunch of BS inspections. It is recommended that you change the engine and in-cabin filter. Some walmarts carry the filters our coupes use, some don't. You could always order the filters from mynismo.com. Click HERE for the engine filter ($8.52) and click HERE for the in-cabin filter ($30.24).

turn the scarcasm down a little a simple "I would get it done at an Infiniti dealer" would have done just fine...

oh, yeah.. forgot the incabin filter and air filter. I do that myself. saves $80-150 right there. I do change that yearly/15kish. But we had alot of construction in our area.
The incabin is easy even for the less technically inclined. the air filter is harder than it should be.. not difficult, just takes getting alittle dirty and being careful around the MAF. still all this is doable in 20 mins.
