Ethanol in winter gas
Ethanol in winter gas
I just filled up at an Exxon station and noticed a sign that said there was 10% ethanol in the gas. While I know that there are additives in winter gas, 10% seemed a bit high. Is this a standard amount for winter in the northeast? What, if any, effect will it have on the engine? I filled up with premium.
Re: Ethanol in winter gas
This is actually standard year round in the midwest. I'm not sure of the effects, but in the 8 driving years I had in chicagoland, I never had a problem with 10% ehtanol gas.
