how much did circuit city charge you for the install of the pioneer? how long did it take? i have had so much trouble finding somewhere that says it will fit, which is why im inquiring. I have seen it done on forums that people have it done, but stores say they didnt think it was possible and cant/wont do it. do you have any pictures of how yours turned out?

thanks!

Don't go to a place that's telling you it won't fit, chances are they probably won't know what they're doing. For the D3, the trim piece that comes with it doesn't exactly fit around the headunit and DDIN dash, most people on here had to custom make a trim that will sit flush with the dash opening. Try looking on avic411.com for someone that might be in your area that has done an install on G35s or maybe there is someone local on the forum that can help you.

You have to purchase a custom trim piece for the headunit. I inquired about it from a local audio shop and they said it would cost me over $2000 to purchase the head unit and have it installed. I was like...hells no!

Circuit City and Best Buy a big no no when doing a double din swap. Go to am audio shop that knows what they are talking about/doing. Unless you wanna drive to Boston...lol.
