Local shops CT

For all of you in CT, preferably Meriden, Hartford or New Haven area but I'll travel for good service.. need someplace to install front/rear camber kits. Where do you guys go for this sort of thing? Also looking for a shop in general (NOT a dealer) for whatever other thing I might need done.. suggestions/recommendations?

Im from Milford, and I do all work myself, I dont trust these shops around here. For little things like suspension work, Pruven Performance in Milford is decent, but they mostly work on evo's. I have had a cltuch, brakes, suspension, and dyno there. Not the best shop or service, but its literally a minute from my house so its convenient. I know they have atleast produced a stillen stage 2 Z so they do know how to work a VQ. I think XX tuning is up near you (hartford area), but again... thats a suby shop and you will get the same bs...

When i lived in Rocky Hill, all my work was done by my friend Vinni at the Mobil gas station. He just sold his G35 that he had well modded and for like 4 years. he does good work and knows the car well so.. check em out if you want. XX tunning will just rip you off.

So is that a ringing endorsement for pruven? I called them and the quoted about 150-300 to install the front/rear spc camber kits then another 100 for alignment

I wouldnt recomend XX, they seem to be more concerned with your money then anything else.

Yea Vinny had the IP G lowered on volks with a bunch of engine work. Give him a call at Century Mobil and tell him you know me (Larry). Im sure hell hook it up.

I never had a problem with XX, got my clear bra done there for the G and the window tint for my Scion. Went back to them for lifting of the bra and they fixed it with no problems. I found em to be real helpful, Larr maybe you just got be more like umm uhh ummm prettier, haha.

-also they went out of the way to make special arrangements with me dropping off the car after hrs. and they do a few things to Z's theres a guy on My350Z forums that got all his wrk done there

^^well I'm as ugly as they come so I probably won't get the type of A1 service you get Zing! I just want a place that can put on the camber kits, adjust them so my tires aren't making the kind of noise that is driving me CRAZY.. and do so without messing up my VDC. Engine work not a must right now (although I am thinking about getting a spacer soon)
